Generalizations are fun, they always are because they tend to offend people and offended people by stupid shit is usually lots of fun.
Here Debian, as a whole, fails; it sucks. Here Debian blows ass, the entire project is whack.

What an avalanche of hatred that was.
Remembers me alot of those wierd and crazy people on some of the usenet lists but this is a different scope. Yes we have problems. But rather than just pointing the big sausage fingers to those who step out of line is a harsh statement.
Yes some groups need help from more than one developer.
Yes some groups need a more calm tone.
Yes some groups need better figure-heads to let them speak for them.
We as a project (Debian) shouldn't encourage such behaviour in anyway.
Seeing most of the discussions around other mailinglists-belonging to Debian and its sub projects I can only say that this bugreport was a very special experience for me and shouldn't happen again.

I still cry at the memories I have of maintaining php4 in debian. Those that I haven't repressed, that is. It pleases me to no end that my life no longer involves any form of php.
